"Kuri" draws its name from Cao Zhi's Ode to Emperor Ku, an ancient tribute that traces the Emperor's lineage back to the Yellow Emperor through Xuan Xiao, celebrating a sovereign who governed with virtue, brought peace to heaven and earth, and whose wisdom shone as brightly as the sun and moon.
Emperor Ku valued integrity above all, and possessed an uncanny ability to recognize and elevate talent. When Yi demonstrated archery skills unmatched in the realm, Emperor Ku appointed him as Master Archer, bestowing upon him the crimson bow and sacred arrows. To seek out and elevate those of exceptional ability — this is the essence of headhunting.
